Only 3 days!!!

Hi Everyone,

I got my U.K visa in only three days! :-) Praise God!!! To say that I am overjoyed would be an understatement...I'm ecstatic..thrilled..over the moon! Ha,ha! Yip, I am very glad and relieved. While waiting for my visa, there was a lady that came in our store busy re-applying because her first application was declined (she didn't have sufficient documentation). Now imagine hearing that and you're waiting for an answer on your own visa...your mind starts racing - did I give enough information, do I have sufficient funds...and, and, and???..A bit nerve recking, right? All I could do was to pray and thank God for His provision, favour and trust that He will perfect that which concerns me. Often thoughts of doubt might flood into our minds, but thank God for His Word...the greater truth! I'm still learning, but day by day He gives us the grace to walk out this journey of faith.

I've still got a way to go (especially regarding fundraising...5 weeks left and I need about 2- 2,5 thousand monthly sponsors), but it's awesome that everytime you trust God for something and He shows you His provision and faithfulness, it gets a little bit easier to trust with the next thing. I guess, that's how we grow...

Well, watch this space:-) God is in control and I know that He will perfect that which concerns me! Ps.138:8a

Visas, visas, visas..

This coming Tuesday (10th of August) I have an appointment for my U.K visa. Please pray for God's favour...that all will go well and that my visa will be issued without any problems. It's quite a process... first you apply online and make the necessary payment. You then make an appointment in which you have to go for fingerprint scans etc. and submit your documents. If all goes well, you should receive your passport back within 5-10 working days. This is through the UK Border Agency. It's much easier than having to go in person to the embassy.

Yesterday afternoon I went to the Police Station to get copies certified. I had about 53 pages! Copy of id, passport, birth certificate, bankstatements, invitation letter etc.etc. (As you know I'm applying for 2 visas and you need an extra copy for yourself so that's 3 times everything!)A big thanks to Linden police station who were so kind and helpful and finished the certification so quickly! About 3 officers helped simultaneously...stamping and signing. Now that's great service....THANK YOU!!!

Will let you know how things go. It's all in God's hands!

Enjoy the long weekend and Women's Day!

With love,

L xx
